Understand RSVP statuses and dashboard counts

See how Confirmed, Partial, Declined and Awaiting are calculated from individual guest answers.

For HostsUpdated 31 August 2026

Before you start

See how Confirmed, Partial, Declined and Awaiting are calculated from individual guest answers. Sign in to the correct host account and confirm the event name before making changes. Use a current browser and allow any save or upload confirmation to finish before leaving the page.

What to do

  1. Treat Awaiting as every invited person in a group that has not submitted a complete response.
  2. Treat Confirmed as a group where every invited member answered Yes.
  3. Treat Partial as a group containing both Yes and No answers.
  4. Treat Declined as a group where every invited member answered No.
  5. Use the host dashboard totals for person-based attending, declined and awaiting counts.

Check the result

Open the affected page again and confirm the saved information, status or media appears as expected. When the change affects guests, use Preview or the event link on a second device to check the guest result. Avoid making the same edit on two devices at once while a save is still in progress.

Good to know

  • The dashboard totals should always reconcile to total invited capacity.
  • Guest-list filters are group-based while dashboard totals are person-based.
  • Seating counts use attending members rather than the original party size.

If it still does not work

Reload the affected page once and confirm you are using the correct event URL. Note the device, browser, approximate time and exact message shown. If the issue involves a Cloudflare error, include its Ray ID and UTC time. Do not repeatedly submit payments, destructive actions or large uploads while an error is active.
