Event planning

Build and update the seating plan

Seat attending guest groups together, manage table capacities and save each change immediately.

For HostsUpdated 18 July 2026

Before you start

Seat attending guest groups together, manage table capacities and save each change immediately. Sign in to the correct host account and confirm the event name before making changes. Use a current browser and allow any save or upload confirmation to finish before leaving the page.

What to do

  1. Collect complete RSVPs so the attending people are available to seat.
  2. Open Seating and review the attending count shown beside each unseated group.
  3. Create or rename tables and set a capacity that can hold the assigned guests.
  4. Drag a group onto a table; groups remain together and cannot exceed capacity.
  5. Open a table to remove a group or adjust the table after plans change.

Check the result

Open the affected page again and confirm the saved information, status or media appears as expected. When the change affects guests, use View as guest or the event link on a second device to check the public result. Avoid making the same edit on two devices at once while a save is still in progress.

Good to know

  • Only attending members count towards seats.
  • The default Table 1 can be renamed or resized.
  • A failed save should leave the last confirmed server plan intact; retry before continuing on another device.

If it still does not work

Reload the affected page once and confirm you are using the correct event URL. Note the device, browser, approximate time and exact message shown. If the issue involves a Cloudflare error, include its Ray ID and UTC time. Do not repeatedly submit payments, destructive actions or large uploads while an error is active.
