A guest’s slightly imperfect photo can hold a moment you treasure: a friend laughing, relatives catching up or the last song of the night. Start your album with those moments in mind.
Save the originals first. Then sort by parts of the day, make a shortlist and decide which pictures you want guests to see. You can keep a broad digital collection and choose a smaller set for print.
Protect the originals first
Download the complete collection before deleting duplicates or making edits. Keep one untouched copy on a separate drive or trusted cloud service. Work from a duplicate folder so an accidental crop, export or deletion never removes the only version of an important image.

Sort by moments, not photographers
Combine professional and guest images around the story of the day: preparations, arrivals, ceremony, portraits, meal, speeches and dancing. This prevents the album feeling like several unrelated camera rolls and makes gaps easier to see before you start a final selection.

Make two shortlists
The first shortlist can be generous and emotional. Remove only obvious duplicates and unusable frames. On a second pass, choose the strongest expression, composition or detail from each repeated moment. Time between passes makes it easier to separate affection for a memory from the quality of the picture.

Build rhythm into the album
Alternate wide scene-setting pictures with faces and small details. Give major moments room, but include quiet pages between them. A printed album benefits from fewer, larger images; a digital album can hold a broader collection and include short videos alongside photographs.

Share without giving up the archive
A guest-facing album should be easy to browse and limited to photographs you are happy to publish. Keep the full master archive private. Download the finished selection as well as retaining it online, and record where backups are stored so they remain useful years later.
